I knew a guy I was in sober living with who had only been two things in his life a rich kid and a prisoner. He didn't have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of, but he was always in Jordan tennis shoes and flat brimmed baseball caps.

When I was substitute teaching I used to horrify my students by saying I'd never spent more than 50 dollars on a pair of shoes, so I may tend to agree more with Sumpta here. Although I do spend way too much money on way more frivolous things than shoes (my voice to text originally wrote that as Choos, and that might have been fitting as well).
